Flat-packed cat scratchers and cat houses for subscription boxes and gift ranges
Three own-design cat products that pack far smaller than they stand: a folding scratcher at 310 g, a cat house that travels 100 mm flat, and a sofa scratcher that ships flat and builds to 678 mm long. Send your box size and monthly quantity for a quotation.
Three formats that ship flat
A folding “organ” scratcher, a cat house in corrugated cardboard and polyester fibre (felt), and a leather-look sofa scratcher. Packed size is the pack one piece travels in. Assembled size is the piece a customer ends up with.
| Product | Material | Packed size (mm) | Assembled size (mm) | Net weight | Pieces per carton | Carton (mm) and volume |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Folding “organ” scratcher with a ball | Corrugated cardboard | Unit box 115 × 107 × 82, folded 110 × 100 × 70 | 220 across and 110 high, opened out | 310 g net, 345 g gross | 36 | 360 × 336 × 340 · 0.041 m³ |
| Squirrel cat house, medium | Corrugated cardboard and felt | 395 × 335 × 100 | 395 × 285 × 240 | 785 g net | 5 | 410 × 340 × 545 · 0.076 m³ |
| Leather-look sofa scratcher | Corrugated cardboard | 420 × 300 × 140 | 678 × 300 × 240 | 1.3 kg net | 4 | 435 × 575 × 330 · 0.083 m³ |
Sizes are length × width × height unless the row says otherwise. Volume is calculated from the carton dimensions above.
Colours run kraft on the folding scratcher and dark brown on the sofa scratcher. The cat house is made in orange, dark grey and white, and further colours are made to order. The sofa scratcher takes a pattern of your own.
Working out what a box holds
- The unit box is what goes in your box. The carton is what ships.
- Divide a carton’s volume by its pieces per carton for the volume of one piece.
- The cat house travels as a 100 mm flat pack and opens out to 240 mm high.
- The sofa scratcher ships flat and stands 678 mm long once built.

Your brand on a box run
Three branding routes: your logo on the piece, your logo with your own packaging, or a product developed from your drawing. The range is designed in-house, so a colourway or a printed pattern is a change the company makes to its own design.
A sample is approved before production runs. Pieces travel in shipping cartons, in individual retail packaging, or in retail packaging carrying your artwork and your barcode; the choice changes the unit box, so it changes the carton as well. Artwork and logos you send must be yours to use (see the artwork rules).
Who the flat formats suit
They suit a box costed on volume, and a gift range posted in a standard outer carton. For a bowl or bed, ask for the packed dimensions and weight of the exact reference.
A range that needs a rigid printed box for shelf display starts on the private label page.
Notes
Indicative price ranges are shown on some references. Your quotation states the price, the minimum for each of the four order routes (current design; your logo and packaging; your colours and pattern; your own design), the artwork cost and packaging format, packed size and pieces per carton for products outside the table, colours and patterns beyond those listed, production time, freight and shipping mode, the trade term, payment terms and currency. Which documents exist for your exact product and market is stated on your quotation, with issuer, scope, cost and timing.
How an order runs, documents and who invoices you are answered on the buyer FAQ. Parcel services and their working days are on the shipping and delivery page.
A quotation on your monthly quantity
