Carton data and container loading for cat products
Four figures decide what a cat product costs to move. The unit box, the carton dimensions, the pieces per carton, and the volume that follows from them. Three references carry all four.

The four figures
Each figure answers a different question about the same product. An enquiry that names all four comes back as a quotation in one round.
- Unit box. The box around one piece. It sets how tightly pieces sit inside the shipping carton.
- Carton dimensions. The outside of the shipping carton, written length × width × height in millimetres.
- Pieces per carton. How many pieces that carton holds. It turns your order quantity into a number of cartons.
- Volume. The three carton dimensions multiplied together, in cubic metres. Send it to your forwarder.
Three references with full carton data
Three references carry a unit box or a packed size, carton dimensions and pieces per carton. They are three examples, not the whole range.

The folding scratcher and the sofa scratcher are corrugated cardboard. The cat house is corrugated cardboard with a polyester fibre (felt) shell.
How is the volume worked out?
Volume comes from the carton dimensions above and from nothing else. Convert the three millimetre figures to metres, then multiply them together.
Folding scratcher. The carton is 360 × 336 × 340 mm, or 0.36 × 0.336 × 0.34 metres, which comes to 0.041 cubic metres. One cubic metre holds about 24.3 cartons, and at 36 pieces per carton that is about 875 pieces.
Squirrel cat house, medium. The carton is 410 × 340 × 545 mm, or 0.41 × 0.34 × 0.545 metres, which comes to 0.076 cubic metres. One cubic metre holds about 13.2 cartons, and at five pieces per carton that is about 66 pieces.
Assembled sofa scratcher. The carton is 435 × 575 × 330 mm, or 0.435 × 0.575 × 0.33 metres, which comes to 0.083 cubic metres. One cubic metre holds about 12.1 cartons, and at four pieces per carton that is about 48 pieces.

What does a bulky product do to a first order?
The same cubic metre carries about 875 pieces, about 66 pieces or about 48 pieces. Shape separates the three, not material.
The folding scratcher goes into a unit box of 115 × 107 × 82 mm. The sofa scratcher packs at 420 × 300 × 140 mm, and its carton takes four pieces. One is a small box and the other is a large one.
That difference decides how a first order is planned.
- Count cartons before you count pieces. Divide your quantity by the pieces per carton, then multiply the cartons by the carton volume.
- A quantity that sounds modest can fill a container. On a low-density product the volume arrives long before the weight does.
- Mix a flat-packing reference with a bulky one. Compare the volumes above before you fix a first range.
- Packing format moves the carton. A retail box or your own artwork changes the unit box, so the pieces per carton change with it.
- Ask for carton data on the exact reference you want. Two products in one family can sit in very different cartons.
How many cartons fit a container?
How many cartons fit a container depends on the carton, the pallet pattern and the container type. The load for your own order is worked out from these figures and confirmed on your quotation.
Take your total volume to that conversation. Divide your quantity by the pieces per carton, multiply the cartons by the carton volume, and send both numbers with your enquiry.
Ordering details
An order runs enquiry, quotation, sample approved, order confirmed on a proforma, production, packing and labelling, then shipment with the documents.
There are four order routes:
- a sample;
- a product from the current range;
- that product in your own packaging or colours;
- a product developed to your own drawing or sample.
The minimum for each route is confirmed on your quotation. The three packing formats are bulk cartons, individual retail packaging, and retail packaging carrying your artwork and your barcode. Each one changes the carton.

Prices are quoted per enquiry. Your quotation and proforma name the contracting seller. Bank details are issued once, on the proforma, and never changed by email. Call the number on the site before paying a changed account.
