Slow feeders and elevated bowls: what changes for a buyer
A slow feeder is a pattern moulded inside the bowl. An elevated or tilted bowl adds a stand or an angle. One changes the mould, the other changes the carton, and both change where the piece sits on your shelf.

What a slow-feed pattern changes
The pattern is formed in the mould, so the shape is fixed before the first piece is made. Changing a pattern is a tooling decision, and it belongs at sample stage rather than after an order is confirmed.
The outside of a slow feeder can keep the profile of a plain bowl of the same capacity. Where it does, the pieces still stack the same way, and pieces per carton need not move at all.
A slow feeder stays one part. Nothing in the box can be separated, mismatched or returned on its own, which keeps the packaging and the barcode simple.
A shaped interior has more surfaces to wash than a plain one. Answer that in your own pack copy.
A pattern that visibly holds food in one place is what sells the bowl on a shelf. Decide which price rung the pattern is meant to reach on your shelf. It adds no second part to the box.
What a stand changes
An elevated bowl is two parts at least: a bowl and a stand. A bamboo stand with a bowl is the elevated form the range carries.
The stand sets the packed height, so the bowl no longer decides the carton. Ask for the packed size of the whole set, never for the size of the bowl alone.
Two parts that nest ship close to a plain bowl. Two parts that do not nest take more volume than the bowl alone. Ask for the packed size of the set before you compare two suppliers.
A set gives your customer two pieces to keep together. Ask whether the bowl and the stand can be supplied on their own, then decide whether you will stock either as a replacement.
A tilted bowl sets the bowl at an angle instead of raising it. It is one part, so it packs like a bowl rather than like a set, and it sits between the two on a shelf.
Ask how the anti-slip base is fixed on any set you shortlist, and compare that answer across your suppliers.
